Create a 3D Virtual Exhibition

To create your first 3D virtual exhibition, make sure you’ve got the following ready:

  • an Artist Profile,
  • an Artist Gallery
  • at least 3-5 Artworks uploaded
  • an Exhibition created,
  • and all set to 'Public'!

All of these need to be set to ‘Public’, otherwise they won’t be displayed on your EVA Gallery profile.

3D Gallery Designer:

This is where the virtual magic happens. To start building your 3D environment, head to the 3D Gallery Designer.

Open the Designer and click on '+ Insert new' to create the main file for your 3D virtual exhibition.

Fill in the required details:

  • Name (mandatory): Give your environment a name. This is for your internal use only and won’t be public.
  • Exhibition (mandatory): Select which exhibition you want to link this environment to.
  • Radius (mandatory): Define the size or scale of your virtual gallery space.

Optional extras:

  • Background Audio: (optional) You can upload a licensed or royalty-free .mp3 file to create immersive soundscapes.
  • Environment Image: (optional) Want a custom background? After uploading (at the bottom of the page), select a licensed or royalty-free photo or graphic to personalize your space even more.

Then click 'Save' to create your main file for the 3D virtual exhibition!

Environment Resources:

You can stick with EVA Gallery’s default virtual space, or take it a step further and design your own.

To do this:

  • Scroll down to the Environment Resources section.

  • Click '+ Insert new'

  • Upload a licensed or royalty-free 360° image in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format.

This custom image will serve as the backdrop for your exhibition, giving it a unique visual identity.

IMPORTANT last step!

Once your environment is created:

  1. Go back to your Exhibition section.

  2. Click 'Edit' on the exhibition you linked.

  3. In the 3D Designer Active dropdown, select the environment you just created.

  4. Save your changes.

Want your virtual exhibition to go live?

Simply set it to ‘Public’, and it will appear on your Artist Profile, ready for visitors to explore in 3D!
